You hear me say a lot that repeat business and referrals are the glue of my company, and then there’s Andrea. Andrea and I didn’t know each other and had no friends in common. We just happened to meet due to her being interested in a listing I had in Caledonia. Andrea lived close to the house and knew she was about to make a huge life change. She and her two daughters would be moving into a new home, but she knew they wanted to stay in the same school district and be close to their friends.

When she called me to see the home, she also let me know they’d need to list. This was the beginning of, what I’d say, transformed into a beautiful friendship. After speaking several times, we again met on her front porch on a gorgeous evening and signed the listing agreement. After we had a pending sale, the fun really began!!

Andrea would bring her two daughters with her to view homes and completely cherished both of their opinions. To see the love between these three girls was truly so heartwarming. With the oldest being a teenager, getting ready for dances while I was there, trying on dresses, learning to drive, and being.. oh, ya know… a teenager and a beautiful young lady were TRULY SO FUN to witness! Perhaps it’s mainly because the demeanor between her and Andrea seemed very, very familiar, as my daughter is the same age. It’s just humorous to see your life through others. And the youngest, oh be still my heart. From wanting to be sure she wouldn’t be too far from mom’s bedroom in the new house to always having the neighbors drop by to see if she could “play” and making sure she’d be able to ride her bike at the new place. This family stole my heart.

When we did find them their perfect home, which was less than a quarter-mile away from their old one, they all agreed and fell in love. This makes my heart sing! They found a home that didn’t change their “normalcy” much. One that they can have a new start in, and one that Andrea is now making her own. After having a staging consultation, Andrea has been remodeling and even laying floors herself – you go, girl!! We’ve since been to happy hour, have joined a book club together, and have become really great friends. This is why I love what I do!! Every single move happens for a reason, and to shed tears, share a good laugh, and see happy hearts and big smiles at the end is beyond rewarding!

Thanks to this amazing profession, I met Andrea. Our lives intertwining was no mistake, as we are both in very similar stages in life. Andrea, THANK YOU for trusting us to help you with your move. You were truly amazing to work with, and I am beyond grateful for your friendship, your humor, your authenticity, and your great heart! I am so grateful you called me to show you a home one day.
